I am looking to purchase the Epson Silver Edition as it seems like good value for money and doesn’t hit the pocket too much like the Home Cinema Edition. I typically watch most of my movies from my Macbook Air via Netflix or MP4 files. What adapter would be best for connecting my Macbook to the Epson Silver Edition? Thanks for a great review Sirio.

    • Sirio Sperandio

Nice to hear that I could help you to decide which projector to buy 😉 If you watch Netflix the best thing to do would be to buy a streaming stick (Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV). You can connect this sticks to your projector per HDMI and then stream from your PC 😉

Let me know if you need more information!

I think projectors are much underused and under-rated. What could be better than watching your favourite film on a big screen. All you need is a flat white painted wall and a comfy chair and you have your own home cinema.
When we sold are last house, the projector room went with it and I now miss having that cinema feel to our movie watching.
You have now re-awakened my desire to get another projector. It is just as cheap as getting a new TV and I think much more enjoyable to watch.
The only drawback with our last projector, an old Sony, is that it was really noisy and the sound had to be turned up to mask the noise.
Can you recommend a projector which is good quality, good resolution but quiet? I could not see a mention of projector noise in the write-ups. Perhaps it’s not on the specs. Thanks for the review! Ches

    • Sirio Sperandio

Hi Ches, what’s better than having your own cinema room 🙂 ? That’s what I want to do, awake the passion in people again! Honestly I didn’t find the specs for noise… but maybe I’ll create an own article about silent projectors ! Thanks for the comment.
